As software experts we’re always looking for ways to become more efficient and effective. In some cases, off-the-shelf solutions are best. Conversely, there are times when custom solutions make more sense. Here are examples of technology development tools we’ve created over the years to help us do our job better.

AudioTrack
Because many of our educational software projects require narration – and in some cases large volumes of narration, we’ve designed and constructed a web-based tool to better manage scripts, recording sessions, narrator assignments, file naming, and client reviews. At the risk of blowing our horn too loudly, AudioTrack has been a huge success and saved a great deal of time and money over the years.

BugSwat
Quality Assurance and the tasks of bug tracking and correction is a significant part of any effort to create usable and attractive instructional software. We’re serious about releasing clean products and realized long ago that a custom bug tracking database would be vital. Besides contract work, we also own our own portfolio of software products that must follow the rigorous stages of software development – including testing.
